Do you install tile for bathrooms as well as entryways?

Yes, though bathroom tile involves waterproofing considerations (around showers and tubs especially) that entryway or foyer tile doesn't. We scope these separately during the site visit since the prep work is different even though the tile-setting itself is similar.

Can tile transition cleanly into hardwood flooring?

Yes, with the right transition strip or a reducer piece sized to the height difference between the two materials, which we plan for during layout rather than as an afterthought once both floors are already in.

What subfloor prep does tile need that hardwood doesn't?

Tile generally needs a more rigid, flatter subfloor than hardwood, since flex in the subfloor is a common cause of cracked grout lines or, in worse cases, cracked tile. We check subfloor deflection and level as part of the assessment and recommend backer board or leveling compound where the existing subfloor doesn't meet that standard.

Do you do this as a standalone job or only alongside other work?

Tile installation stands on its own as a service — you don't need a stair or hardwood project alongside it. It's commonly requested together with hardwood flooring work simply because homeowners tend to renovate flooring room by room, but we take standalone tile jobs as well.

How long before I can walk on new tile?

Thinset and grout both need cure time before normal foot traffic, and longer before heavy use or furniture — the exact schedule depends on the products used, and we'll walk through it at the end of the job.
